Privacy Policy
How we look after your personal data. Last updated 8 November 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Kildare Business (“we”, “us”), which is part of Digital Lab, Old Bawn Shopping Centre, Unit 20, Killininny, Dublin 24, D24 X8CW.
We are the “data controller” for the personal data described below. You can contact us at info@digitallab.ie or on +353 87 102 5649.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to send us through the contact form:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number (optional, entered in the phone field);
- the contents of your message; and
- a record that you ticked the consent box, with the date and time.
If you phone or email us directly, we will of course also hold whatever you tell us.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We use your details to read and reply to your enquiry, to talk through what you need and, if you go ahead, to set up your website. Our legal bases are your consent (given when you tick the box on the form) and, where you ask us for a quote or a job, taking steps at your request before and during a contract with you.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them to anyone.
Who we share it with
We do not share your details with other businesses for their own purposes. They are handled by service providers who help us run the website and our email, such as our website hosting company and our email provider, and by our parent agency Digital Lab, which receives your enquiry. These providers act on our instructions. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, apply.
We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with it and any work that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records (for example, for tax and accounting). If your enquiry does not lead to any work, we delete it within 12 months.
Cookies, tracking and third-party content
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it loads its fonts and scripts from our own server. The “Our work” section shows most preview images from our own server; two (Pinnacle Portfolio and Earthridge) are loaded from digitallab.ie. When your browser loads them, digitallab.ie receives standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type, as with any website. Our hosting provider may also keep basic server logs for security and to keep the site running. If we add cookies or tracking tools in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict or stop using your data;
- ask for your data in a portable format, where this applies; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
Making a complaint
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 (www.dataprotection.ie).
